Tango.sb.fsu.edu ( is a dual 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor computer that is used both for the data processing and archiving (back-up) of home and synchrotron data sets. It has the following specifications:
  • Current operating system: Ubuntu 8.04LTS "Hardy Heron" and kernel version 2.6.24-16-generic
  • 3 GB physical memory
  • 2 GB swap partition
  • One internal ASUS IDE DVD±R\RW drive
  • One internal Seagate SCSI 120 GB hard drive
  • A Belkin Combo USB 2.0 and FireWire (aka: i-Link, IEEE1394) card, and

Data collected at the Facility and synchrotron are routinely archived in DDS-3 and/or DDS-4 tape media. Please note that the archives are for the sole use of the members of the Structural Biology Program at Florida State University and unauthorized use is prohibited.
