Tampa.sb.fsu.edu (128.186.103.110) is a single 497 MHz Intel P III processor Dell Latitude Cpx laptop that is dual bootable under Linux and Windows operating systems. This laptop is used primarily for processing data collected at synchrotrons or wherever mobile computing is required. It has the following specifications:
  • Current operating system(s): Debian Linux 3.1 / Microsoft Windows XP SP2
  • Original operating system(s): Red Hat Linux 7.3 kernel version 2.4.18-3 / Microsoft Windows XP
  • 256 MB physical memory
  • One 60 GB SimpleTech IDE hard drive
  • One SCSI DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive
  • One firewire adapter
  • One ethernet adapter

Tampa.sb.fsu.edu is booted either as a Linux machine or Windows XP machine depending upon the need.
