Stand-alone image plate data collected at XRF can be scanned using Storm 860 Scanner located in Analytical Facility at Biology Department Unit I .

Some features of the scanner are:

Image Plate (IP) technology

IP is reusable and does not require dark room

IP has large linear response to x-ray exposure

IP has very low noise

The scanner IP has large area 35 x 43 cm

Scanner has selectable resolutions: 50, 100, & 200 uM (micro meters).
