  marCam CCD
The marCAM is a small CCD camera that has the ability to convert x-rays to visible-light. It displays an image of the direct x-ray beam in 20 fold magnification when connected to a TV monitor. Since the marCAM displays the image on the monitor, there is no reason to turn the room lights off, during x-ray beam alignment. Therefore, alignment of x-ray beam can be done conveniently with ceiling lights rather than in complete darkness. This procedure ensures personal safety when one reaches for alignment knobs close to the x-ray beam.

marCAM is routinely used for aligning the Osmic Max-flux Confocal mirrors, the goniometer head to the x-ray beam, and marBase to the x-ray beam. Marcam CCD is available from Mar USA.
