Rigaku R-Axis IIc serial port problem

After replacing the sled I found out that the R-Axis IIc serial port problem and possibly the S CSI problem reappeared. Since the machine is no longer supported we have to figure out the problem by ourselves.

After finding problem with the SCSI in the R-Axis IIc we replaced the sled that houses the IP r ead-head with the another donated model.This model is no longer supported we have to figure out the problem by ourselves.

Rigaku R-Axis IIc SCSI trouble

While screening data the R-Axis IIc simply stopped working. It gave a SCSI error. Replacing cou ple of PCB boards at the controller didn't solve the problem. We need to figure out the problem by ourselves since it is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

I updated the Search and Replace write-up for Linux/Unix machines. The new version tells how to use not only find but also rpl utilities how-to find and replace long string1 by string2. This write-up explains how-to use it replace the strings on multiple files, on multiple locations, and on multiple sub-directories.

Minor redirect of image file location

Since the images in my home page and ~xray pages referred to location in FSU's redesign page and that location will no longer be available, I copied the images files and updated the image files to inculde a new redirect to a local image directory.

I attended the 2008 Florida Government Technology Conference at the Tallahassee Civic Center. At the meeting I listened to Scott McNealy Chairman and Co-Founder of Sizzle stopped working properly. I had to use a pin to get the door to open. So replaced the drive with a new Optiarc AD-7170A DVD drive.
