
The Award
The Kasha Award is given annually to recognize and
stimulate research and to promote quality scientific
writing. It is named after Dr. Michael Kasha, Distinguished
University Professor and co-founder of the Molecular
Biophysics Graduate Program. MOB students who are primary
authors on a paper published (or accepted for publication)
within the previous two calendar years are eligible.
Nomination letters are solicited from major professors
early in Spring semester. Winners are announced at the
Kasha Award Ceremony held at the end of Spring
semester.
