Molecular Biophysics (MOB) Ph.D Program Institute of Molecular Biophysics Kasha Laboratory Building Tallahassee, Florida 32306-4380 Supporting Documents to be Included with the FSU Online Application The Molecular Biophysics Graduate Program requests 3 Supporting Documents in addition to the FSU Online Application. These documents provide the prospective student the opportunity to explain your motivation and interest in the Graduate Program. It also provides the selection committee with a more complete description of the candidate. Copies of transcripts are requested to be uploaded as a supportive document in order to expedite a full review of the application. Before beginning the document section please visit our departmental home page (http://www.sb.fsu.edu) to familiarize yourself with the research interests of our faculty. You will be asked to list up to three faculty members with whom you may be interested in working in order of preference (Document 1b.). All applicants to the Molecular Biophysics Graduate Program: Upload the requested documents into the online application under Supporting Documents and submit in the following order. The space for each uploadable document is 500 kb. Application Deadline for Fall 2010: March 15, 2010 Molecular Biophysics, PHD 1. a. Statement of Goals and Purpose. Provide a one-page statement of your goals and purpose in pursuing a graduate degree in molecular biophysics and include a discussion of your research experience and interests; b. Faculty of Interest. List three faculty members you may like to work with in order of preference. Please save 1a. and 1b. as a single document on your computer. Then upload the file into DOCUMENT 1 on the Online Application.
2. Transcripts. Please scan and save photocopies of your transcripts as pdf files on your computer. Then upload these files into DOCUMENT 2 on the Online Application. Your official transcripts still need to be sent from your institution to Florida State University Office of Admissions as described in the application instructions.
3. Resumé. In your resumé provide information about any honors and awards you may have received, teaching experience, research experience (lab technician, honors research or directed individual studies, etc.), scientific publications and presentations, relevant work experience, and any special skills you may have (computer programming, etc.). Save this document and then upload the file into DOCUMENT 3 on the Online Application. Please upload all documents if possible.
