Stopped-Flow System
Stopped-flow background The Applied Photophysics SX20 stopped-flow system monitors changes in fluorescence or absorbance by macromolecular solutions triggered by rapid alteration in buffer composition. As such, the technique is sensitive to changes in the conformational and dynamic characteristics of biomolecules and biomolecular complexes. The stopped-flow fluorescence measurements are typically used to determine rates of protein folding/unfolding and to monitor kinetic reactions on a millisecond time scale. Vendor |
